Masters of their own trade have always intrigued me. People respect those who are experts at what they do. Be it a plumber, professor, businessperson, sports hero, or any other expert.
A profession begins a journey of success. For this reason, I pride myself to be an Orgtologist. It gives me recognition and it sanctions what I practice. I flaunt the title with pride and hope that others will do so too.
Yet, I also know how much effort I had to put in and how many sacrifices I had to make. Therefore, it would break my heart to see this title easily bestowed.
An Orgtologist is an expert in orgtology. In so, Orgtologists help organisations to perform and stay relevant through orgtology theory.
The International Orgtology Institute (IOI) must certify a person to practice in orgtology. In other words, the IOI must assert that one meets the criteria for being an Orgtologist.
To start training as an Orgtologist, one must have a recognized degree or similar qualification. To pass the student must submit four guided essays. On successful completion of the OCP, the student can register as an Orgtologist with the International Orgtology Institute.
To stay certified, an Orgtologist must gain annual CPD points, as guided by the IOI. On certification, an Orgtologist will receive a licence certificate from the Orgtology Institute.
The International Orgtology Institute regulates the field of orgtology. Following are the registration types with their requirements.
The IOI only certifies Orgtologist. They will licence private organisations to do the training.
The IOI Council may, where merit allows, bestow the title of Orgtologist on a person. They can do so, even if the appointee holds no former qualifications or training.
IOI consideration will be based on past, current, or potential contribution to the field of orgtology. In most cases, such bestowment is temporary. This means that the titleholder is given a timeframe to complete the training.
The IOI may also from time to time allow a person without a degree to undergo the training. In such case, the student must publish a peer-reviewed journal article on orgtology to receive the title of Orgtologist.
Orgtologist can use their title on business cards, stationary, social media, webpages, etc. The IOI will list their details on the orgtology institute website and refer organisations to them on request.
To keep the title, an Orgtologists must submit annual CPD points. This is to prove continuous professional development (CPD). The IOI will give clear guidance on how they can attain these CPD points.
To become (and stay) an orgtology practitioner will take dedication and hard work. You will be one of an elite group of people who holds knowledge that can help organisations worldwide to perform and stay relevant.
Good luck and we hope to see your name on the Orgtologist role soon…© 2018: CFT Hendrikz
